» Daily : Monarch Butterfly Grove Talks
The beautiful orange and black "fairy-like" Monarch Butterflies cluster by the thousands in the Eucalyptus trees, giving the appearance of golden leaves. Our Monarch Butterfly Grove is located on Highway 1 just south of the Pismo State Beach North Beach Campground and is the most visited Monarch Grove in the world. The grove is staffed daily by our knowledgeable docents from 10am-4pm, with talks given at 11am and 2pm. Free admission and parking. Don't miss this spectacular wonder of nature. Holiday Harmony & Light Up Pismo Beach - Poster
Holiday Harmony will take place from 6pm-8pm at the Beach Bum Holiday Rental parking lot (off Dolliver & Pomeroy) in downtown Pismo Beach. Kids will have fun with fresh snow, a bounce house, crafts and cookie decorating. Join Santa and carolers at the Beach Bum Holiday Rental parking lot at 5:30pm before he makes his way to the tree lighting ceremony on a fire truck. Participants can enjoy hot drinks and listen to carols as the tree is lit. Kids can have their picture taken with Santa. The official lighting of the city of Pismo Beach will take place at 6pm in conjunction with Holiday Harmony. City officials and local dignitaries will join city residents and visitors to throw the switch that will light up the city and mark the official start of the holiday season. The entire event is free.
