September 2016 through May 2017: Cow Parade SLO
Over 75 cities and 200 million people worldwide have participated in CowParade, one of the most successful art endeavors ever. Now it’s San Luis Obispo County’s turn. CowParade SLO County will give local artists a chance to showcase their talents on a global stage. The region’s agricultural history, growing arts scene and its ecotourism draw make CowParade the perfect conduit for a countywide event that will involve, unite and benefit the whole community. December 2: Holiday Harmony & Tree Lighting Ceremony - Poster
Join us for Holiday Harmony, a FREE fun-filled family event from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm and take place at the Pismo Beach Pier. Kids activities include fresh snow, photos with Santa, cookie decorating and bounce houses. The Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at the Pismo Beach Pier at 6 pm. December 9: 8th Annual Holiday Stroll
Pismo Beach merchants along Shell Beach Road help visitors get into the holiday spirit from 5pm-8pm. Enjoy shopping, refreshments, live music, grab bags for the kids and a Surfin' Santa. For more information, please visit www.sbig.org.

Wednesdays: Pismo Beach Farmers Market

Daily: Monarch Butterfly Grove Talks
Thousands of beautiful orange and black Monarch Butterflies can be seen clustering in the Eucalyptus and Cypress trees at the Pismo State Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove every winter. From November-February the grove is staffed daily by our knowledgeable docents from 10 am - 4 pm, with talks given at 11 am and 2 pm. Located on Highway 1 just south of the Pismo State Beach North Beach Campground the grove offers FREE admission and FREE parking. Don't miss this spectacular wonder of nature.
